Spring 2026. The founding issue — manifesto, two precedent essays, field notes from the first Aegean site visit, and the quarter's decisions log.
Spring 2026 — the founding issue.
From the editor of Issue 01.
A journal is a discipline before it is a publication. The discipline is this: if we believe a thing strongly enough to build it, we owe the future a trace of why we believed it.
Issue I is the founding issue. It lands the documents that made Kont legible enough to start, pairs them with the first real field work from the Aegean site, and looks backward at two traditions we draw from and refuse to copy. The decisions log closes the quarter honestly — what we settled, what we changed, what we deferred.
Issue II opens to guest contributions. If you work at a clinic, a production cooperative, a land trust, a research group whose work shares our grain, write to us. The editor’s inbox is hello@kontproject.com.
